Meet The Team
Michelle LeMoignan
Co-owner
Michelle founded Flirt Cupcakes in 2008 after working for another business and operating her own clothing line on the side. Michelle has always had a passion for business. Marketing, design development and overseeing operations are what she enjoys most! Outside of Flirt, Michelle is an avid hockey player (and Oilers fan) and also spends her time photographing wildlife, volunteering with animal rescue and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Brianna Vallet
Co-owner
Brianna began her time at Flirt almost a decade ago at our Jasper Avenue location. Within a short time frame, Brianna went from manager to co-owner of Flirt and now, as a certified pastry chef, she's the creative wheel behind most of the design and development of our menu. While away from the shop, Brianna's creativity doesn't stop. She has a passion for cosplay and all things anime. And of course, we can't mention Brianna without mentioning her 2 cats Jack and Sencha!

Natasha
Front of House / Market Manager
Natasha has been with Flirt for just almost 3 years. When she's not running our market booths or delivering your goods, you can find her out thrifting, taking film photos or hanging with her cats. She has a history in dance and once competed in NYC! Fun fact: Natasha's seen One Direction 3 times in 3 different cities: Edmonton, Vancouver & Toronto.

Deryn
Front Of House / Office Administrator
Deryn has been a part of Flirt since early 2019. While you'll most often see her working the front of house, she's also trained as a baker and helps in the kitchen on busier days. Outside of the cupcake world, Deryn is a self-proclaimed TikTok addict and also loves cooking & watching movies! Her favourite quote is "I don't think you can really define love" - Harry Styles.

Kyla
Head Cake Decorator​
Kyla initially worked with Flirt back in 2014 at the Jasper Ave location before heading off to the Uk where she worked as a baker for several years. She returned to Flirt in Sept '21 and is now our head cake decorator. Her favourite thing about working at Flirt is the creative freedom it allows. Outside of work, Kyla fosters cats for Zoe's Animal Rescue, as well as enjoys listening to audiobooks & podcasts and spending time with family & friends.
Cuyler
Production Baker
Cuyler joined the Flirt team in the summer of 2022 as our full-time production baker. Cuyler is a powerful one-man crew and does the majority of all of our daily baking and packaging. He has his long-term sights set on becoming a social worker here in Edmonton and helping the disenfranchised people within the city.

Ginger
Kitchen Lead
Ginger followed her dreams right into the food industry several years ago and has been with Flirt specifically since early 2023. Your custom cupcakes were most likely decorated by her! When she's not busy baking and decorating up a storm, you can find her out and about with friends or curled up at home with her cat Reilly while reading her favourite book. She's also recently discovered a love for audiobooks.

Stephanie
Kitchen Lead
(Maternity Leave)
Steph began working at Flirt in 2014. While she ventured off into other areas, her passion for baking brought her back to Flirt in early 2022. Steph's fav Flirt memory was being asked to create custom cupcakes for Blink 182 while they were in town and receiving tickets to see the band in return! Steph and her husband are expecting their first child in early 2023 (our very 1st Flirt baby!). In her spare time, she loves building complex lego and diving deep in reality tv.

Megan
Baker / Decorator
Megan has been our weekend warrior at Flirt since early 2019! She's notorious for coming in at ungodly hours to get a head start on all the weekend prep. Outside of work she rescues and cares for ducks. Yes - ducks! We always look forward to her latest duck updates each week! She even has her Migratory Bird Licence. And if she's not spending time looking after her ducks she's doing something else outdoors or dreaming up plans of starting her own raccoon sanctuary.

Katherine
Front of House
Katherine is the newest member of our team at Flirt Cupcakes. She's also a full time student with aspirations to become a psychologist or a therapist. Outside of Flirt and school, Katherine loves reading, especially web novels, mangas and manhwas. She is fluid in Mandarin, Chinese and Cantonese. Her favourite video game is Honkai Star Rail although she enjoys FPS games like Call of Duty too!
